Plundering the public sector
Why worry?
- Blair’s and Brown’s New Labour are giving £70bn of our money to consultants as part of their grand plan to ‘modernize’ public services
- The results so far have been disastrous – billions taken from frontline services and wasted on worthless consulting and failing IT systems
- Everywhere we see administrative chaos, reduced services and increasing management costs
- The worst is in the NHS with hospitals closing wards, cancelling operations and refusing to supply life-saving medicine due to budget cuts
- And now the government is paying about £30bn for a new NHS computer system that is already showing all the symptoms of being a catastrophic failure
- If the £30bn NHS system ends up like all other New Labour consulting disasters, this will cripple patient care for years to come
- We need to act now to stop consultants plundering taxpayers’ money and decimating our public services
